This thread will be for general suggestions for quests (and dungeons or shops), current or future. Please keep in mind there will be spoilers about present or future quests below, be it about loot or the quests themselves. Keep in mind that not all suggestions will come to fruition, or at least not immediately. A lot lot of work goes into making these quests, so please be patient.
With that, here are some of my suggestions I've formulated over the past couple of months:
-A murder mystery quest. Perhaps triggered by an NPC is Skytopia/Spawn, the player is directed to a small town in the adventure map in order to investigate a murder/string of murders. The town can be built around the quest, with details pertaining to the murder built-in (i.e. actual investigation of the murder room could occur.) The player could then talk to the townspeople and attempt to discern which is the culprit based on dialogue and clues. This is the part I'm not sure is possible: besides a few obvious not-guilty villagers, anyone the player chooses as the culprit will, in effect, BE the culprit, but the loot you get from the quest will be better/worse based on who you picked (or essentially how well you solved the mystery.) In this way, the quest will be fresh and unique for everyone, reward successful completion, yet still take into account the skill of the player. Also a bar fight scene would be awesome in this village with an enchanted Broken Bottle reward.
-A Twilight Forest-based dungeon near the spawn of the Twilight Forest (protected, of course) that rewards some of the unique Twilight Forest loot, like the Moonworm Queen, Charm of Keeping, Steel Leaf, and a Boss Trophy. My reasoning for this is that while the Twilight Forest is pretty much endless, it will eventually get very difficult for players to find unexplored dungeons. In this way, players new to the Twilight Forest can get an introduction, and it guarantees the player to get at least a small amount of unique Twilight stuff they may not find otherwise. I suggest a Boss Trophy because at least one is needed to enter a Dwarf Hideout (or whatever they're called). Finally, I think it'd be interesting to see a Twilight Dungeon where the player can't rely on placing blocks to get by, like in the Ghast Towers, where towering makes the puzzles a breeze.
-A couple more easy/intermediate/hard dungeons around the adventure map. The Slime Ruins (RIP my old friend) were a perfect example of one that could work for newer players, while introducing mechanics to some of our mods. Some could have simple bosses, which I feel our server needs a few more of, seeing as our only real main boss is an unstoppable behemoth to take down. Then some progression could occur as you get further from spawn, with harder dungeons appearing as you get to the farther reaches of the map. A zombie or plant boss would be really cool in that underwater nature dome thing near the sea rail function...
But yeah, we need some more bosses.
-Some shops that sell CustomNPC-unique goods. Perhaps rather than having just one in Skytopia, they could be spread throughout the map, each offering a different selection. So the ones in Spawn/Skytopia could sell simple furniture, Baseball Bats,Broken Bottles, Crates and such, then farther ones could sell fancier stuff.
-There needs to be an option to smack Saulderman's son. Seriously, screw that kid.
